CAS jointly hosted King Tackie Teiki Tsuru II, King of the Ga Peoples of Accra (Ga Mantse), with the City of Columbus and the Wexner Center for the Arts on August 1st. The Ga Mantse was in Columbus on an official visit to further solidify the Columbus-Accra sister city relationship. The visit on August I was themed Akwaaba/Welcome Night and was held at the Wexner Center for the Arts. The main part of the program were various Ga cultural and traditional performances and other formal recognition events held at the Wexner’s auditorium, with the highlight being King Tsuru II’s address to the audience.

Following the cultural exhibitions, a reception was held at the ground floor of the Wexner Center. The Ga Mantse and his entourage were also given a private tour of the art center. The evening was well attended with over fifty attendees.
