Come celebrate the very successful relaunch and year of the Center for African Studies.  Indeed, what a year it has been for CAS.  From hosting former Ghanaian head of state, President John Mahama, creating the Africa at Noon lecture series, establishing a strong and vibrant CAS Student Ambassador corps, rejoining the Association of African Studies Programs, and more, CAS is committed to elevating the profile of Africanist learning across the Ohio State University campuses and Central Ohio.  This year, our end-of-year party features Laura Joseph’s retirement reception.  Laura’s dedicated service to the Center for African Studies spans over two decades. Her contribution promoting African cultures and traditions are immeasurable.  While we are happy that she has retired but her presence is missed. Laura has left big shoes for us to fill.
