African at Noon Lecture SeriesOn Wednesday, 16 October, Dr. Abdullahi Hersi will speak on cultural peace building in Somalia. Dr. Hersi is a peace and conflict specialist, researcher, and humanitarian expert from Kenya. He holds a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Kenya, and a master’s in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from Kampala International University, Uganda. In addition, he earned a BA in social science from Egerton University, Kenya. He serves as the executive director of a nonprofit organization operating in the US and the Horn of Africa, and Kenya.Lunch will be provided.
